Cessna Displays a Range of Aircraft at Farnborough
FARNBOROUGH, U.K., July 16, 2010 - Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, is displaying a range of turbine and propeller aircraft at the Farnborough Airshow representing its full product line, one of the most extensive in the general aviation market.
“Farnborough is a great opportunity for Cessna to meet with a number of customers and potential customers who visit this great show,” said Trevor Esling, Cessna vice president, International Citation Sales. “Europe has always been Cessna’s top market outside the U.S. and we expect that to remain true well into the future.”
Cessna has on exhibit a Citation XLS+ as well as a Citation CJ3 and Citation Mustang; a Grand Caravan turboprop and a turbo 206 Stationair single-engine piston. Cessna’s static display is adjacent to sister company Bell Helicopter’s pavilion.
The Citation Mustang, the world’s first fully certified entry-level business jet, has recently gained type certification in India and in Russia and is now certified in more than 60 countries. Since original certification in 2006, Cessna has delivered more than 300 Mustangs to customers around the world.
For the second consecutive year, the Citation CJ3 has been selected “Best of the Best” in the Light business jet category by the well-known American business and lifestyle magazine, The Robb Report. The CJ3 is recognized for its speed, range, comfort, performance and single-pilot capabilities.
